Why Hobart CBD's arts scene suits custom abstract art
Hobart CBD's boutique hotels and galleries sit inside one of the country's most distinctive contemporary art scenes, and the appetite for original Australian abstract work here runs deep. A custom piece, painted to a curator's or designer's brief rather than sourced from a print supplier, fits naturally into a market this attuned to original work.
The brief and palette process
A Hobart commission is briefed the same way as anywhere else -- dimensions, palette references from the space's materials and lighting, the mood or curatorial direction, and your timeline. A palette and style proposal is agreed before painting begins.
Pricing and delivery for Hobart
Pricing starts from $3,500 AUD for a 100cm x 100cm original, professionally framed in a Tasmanian Oak frame and delivered free anywhere in Hobart CBD or across Tasmania.
Who this suits
Interior designers sourcing statement pieces for boutique hotels and hospitality fitouts across the CBD, and art curators building collections for Hobart galleries and private clients.
